Acupuncture with Reiki – Powerful Energy Healing
Combining acupuncture and Reiki marries Traditional Chinese Medicine with Japanese energy healing. The first uses needles to regulate the body’s flow of energy in the channels and meridians. Energy that gets stuck from trapped emotions, injuries and illnesses. While Reiki involves using my hands to tap into ethereal energy. As a healer I am an electrical conduit for the patient’s highest good.
Together, the acupuncture needles stimulate energy pathways directly, while Reiki can amplify and harmonize the flow of energy throughout the whole system.
Deep relaxation and nervous system regulation
Both practices strongly strongly regulate the patient’s nervous system taking people out of their fight flight response and into their parasympathetic nervous system (“rest and digest”). Many of my patients fall asleep during these treatments. If they don’t fall asleep they do drop into a deep meditative state not quite asleep but not fully awake.
What is interesting is alot of patients report feeling strong energy moving around their body. I describe it as swooshes or tingles. They can also feel heat moving out of the tips of their fingers, toes or energy traveling up their legs to the top of their head. Each treatment is unique and specific to what that patient needed. The healing being done is always for the patient’s highest good. I merely plug into their energetic grid. I can feel with my hands where their energy is trapped. I will often insert a needle if it’s an actual acupuncture point. If it’s not, I will apply Reiki to clear the energy.
Enhanced healing response
While acupuncture may address specific physical concerns like pain, insomnia, digestive issues, menstrual irregularities these irregularities generate energy. Pain is very draining on a body’s energy system.
Reiki works on subtler emotional, spiritual, or energetic levels.
When layered, people sometimes feel physical relief alongside a sense of emotional cleansing or clarity. The result is a targeted and holistic approach to healing.
What a session looks like
After a complete patient intake and assessment, I will insert the acupuncture needles then do Reiki while the client is resting with the needles in. I also like to cover the patient’s eyes allowing them to relax more deeply into their treatment.
I also ensure patient’s are ok with physical touch as I always start with a patient’s feet to ground them and pull energy down from their head. The head contains the most abundant Qi and blood so pulling this energy down helps calm their mind. I usually always treat the patient’s face up working on area at a time until all their blockages are removed and the energy is running smoothly.
I do like to finish off with crystals to make sure I have not missed anything.
